Vezza d’Oglio is a nice village located in the Upper Valle Camonica, at the meeting of two alpine valleys: Val Grande ( almost entirely within the Stelvio National Park) and Val Paghera ( in the Adamello Regional Park). Its location is the ideal place where to start a lot of excursions and discover nature. From calm walks in the wood to more challenging climbing. Interesting excursions are also the ones giving you the chance to rediscover the local history and culture, through the visit of World War One posts or the church of St Clemente, with its original Romanic style clock tower. The village itself is worth a visit. Its characteristic little streets, the rests of the gentry palace, the Federici family’s tower ( ancient lords of the valley) or the church.

The winter season can offer a lot of possibilities for entertainment: ice-skating, Nordic skiing, ski mountaineering, snowshoes trails and ice climbing. The nearby Adamello Ski Ponte di Legno-Tonale-Alta Vallecamonica-Alta Val di Sole Area, offers 100 km of ski slopes where you can also practice Alpine skiing. In springtime and summertime, for the lovers of fishing and for all who want to practice an interesting new sport “fly fishing” in an internationally well known equipped centre. Outdoors, it is also possible to practice tennis, lawn bowling game, soccer, riding and athletics. There are different playgrounds areas for children.

Autumn as well is a good time for a visit with its perfumes and colours    The main attraction of this period of the year are the marvellous deer in Val Grande. During their mating season they transform this place into a real harem for courtship. It is possible to see them with the naked eye and listen to the male characteristic call “the bell”. So Vezza d’Oglio is a well known climatic resort which offers a lot of possibilities for fun, relax, physical and mental regeneration surrounded by an unpolluted environment...for more information visit the site
